Dr. Patricia Marquardt

Patricia Marquardt is an Associate Professor of Classical Languages at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her academic degrees, all in the field of Classical Philology (Latin and Ancient Greek), are a B.A. from Ripon College, a M.A. from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D.from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Of special interest to her are Homer, Archaic Greek Poetry, and Classical Mythology. She has published numerous scholarly articles in professional journals.

Her research has taken her on trips worldwide, including Italy, Greece, and Egypt. She has traveled to India with Alamelu on a research trip for their cookbooks. Her favorite avocation is cooking South Indian dishes with Alamelu.

Pat and Alamelu regard their cookbooks as a tribute to their treasured friendship.
